Hypertension that is known in English as Hypertension or General Language High BP is a similar disease that is beginning to spread without any symptoms in the youth and then it is detected due to some fatal side effects.


There are also many people whose blood pressure is normal and sometimes more likely to come. Our blood pressure continues to be low in our daily activities, mental and physical conditions. In such a situation, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is carried out to investigate the general blood pressure of the person.


It is an instrument with the help of which your blood pressure is measured up to 24 hours and your blood pressure changes during the day. This test can be done any day. There is no pain in this investigation and it can be done in children, youth, adults and even old men.


Why this test should be performed ? This investigation will help your doctor in the following things: How is it works ? In ABPM, a cuff binds on your hands, which is connected to a monitor. This monitor records your blood pressure counting throughout the day at fixed time.

What do I have to take care of ? 

You have to take care that the blood pressure measurement cuffs are tied tightly on your hands for 24 hours and are connected to the monitor. You have to note the various tasks you have done throughout the day by pressing the heart shaped button on the machine. For this, you have to follow the instructions given in the book given to you. Do not remove blood pressure cuffs or monitors. The next day, on the appointed time, to go to the doctor and remove this machine.

How long does this test take? This investigation takes 24 hours. At your convenience, doctors determine the timing of this investigation

What should I do if the monitor is not counting my blood pressure or if the cuff is not blowing up I take bath or swim during this investigation ? No. The monitor gets spoiled by water contact and hence bathing or swimming is prohibited. Do not put any lotions or oil on your hands before checking it.

When will I get the report of this test ? After returning this machine by you, the doctor gives a report of this test.

Can I do my daily work while doing this investigation  Yes ! You can do your daily work, just take care of that the monitor keeps your hands fixed while counting your blood pressure.

What precautions should I take in these investigations ? Signals from these things can sometimes interfere with the recording of the machine. What type of clothes should I wear during this investigation You should wear loose clothing during this investigation and if possible, wear a half-shirt shirt so that there is no problem wearing the monitor and the cuff

Can I remove the monitor at bedtime? No, no! While sleeping at night,

you can put the monitor next to you or keep it on a table. Only take care that the monitor and the cuff tub should be attached. The cuff should be tied on your hands.

Will I have some different feeling during this investigation? When you take measurements of blood pressure, your hand will be a little tired. You are not feeling a problem due to the monitor being light weight.

Are there any side-effects of wearing blood pressure monitoring ? There is no side-effect to wearing blood pressure monitor. Only in some cases, measuring blood pressure can lead to slight prick in hand. After the removal of blood pressure cough, the discomfort also goes away. Once the cuff is tied on the hand, it should not be tampered with.
